Washington Heights Psychotherapy and Art Therapy

Are you looking for a therapist in Washington Heights, Hudson Heights or Upper Manhattan?

Washington Heights Psychotherapy Office

My Washington Heights Psychotherapy Office

Sometimes you don’t want to get on a subway to find professional services… I get it. As a long time resident of Washington Heights, I am happy to be expanding my art therapy and psychotherapy services to the neighborhood. My Upper Manhattan therapy office is located on Fort Washington Avenue and 187th Street, in the heart of Hudson Heights, not far from the 181st A subway station. I am conveniently located to Washington Heights, Hamilton Heights, Inwood, Riverdale and Fort Lee, NJ.

I specialize in working with adults who are dealing with anxiety, those struggling in relationships, people who have been touched by addiction, as well as life transitions and loss (including pet loss.) I offer traditional talk therapy and art therapy.

I love working with students, mothers, freelancers, and folks in the arts.

Many of the clients I see developed coping strategies that were useful and necessary at one time in their lives, but are now intrusive and keep them from living authentically and freely. Together we will work to understand how your early experiences have shaped certain instinctual patterns of behavior and find ways to gently shift and relax those patterns.

As an art therapist, I am also trained to help you use the creative process as a tool for self-expression and healing. Art therapy isn’t about being a great artist or having perfect technique but being free to explore, grow and expand your comfort zone. In my sessions, making art is not at all required, but I will always offer it to you. The process can make you feel more relaxed and less anxious, and help you gain new insight into what’s going on in your inner world. I am excited to bring art therapy to Washington Heights.
