Looking for a New Jersey therapist who works with depth and doesn’t rush the process?
I offer online therapy to adults across New Jersey — a relational, depth-oriented approach that helps you understand the patterns underneath anxiety, relationship struggles, and the feeling that you’ve been holding yourself back.
With over 20 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist and art therapist, I work with people who want more than symptom relief. Sessions are primarily conversational, focused on making real sense of what’s shaped you — so that change feels lasting rather than surface-level.
When it’s useful, I also draw on art therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic awareness to help things land in a deeper way. These are tools available to us — the work always begins with you and what you bring.
Therapy in New Jersey: Space to Slow Down
New Jersey is one of the most densely populated states in the country — and for many people, that means a life that moves fast. Whether you’re commuting into New York City, managing family and work in the suburbs, or navigating the particular pressures of a state where everyone seems to be doing a lot, it can be hard to find space to actually stop and pay attention to yourself.
Therapy offers that space. Not to add another thing to your list — but to step back from the pace of everything and make sense of what’s actually going on.
You might be feeling:
- Anxious or burned out, without a clear reason why
- Stuck in the same relationship patterns, even when you can see them clearly
- Like you’re managing everything on the outside but something doesn’t feel right on the inside
- Disconnected from yourself or unsure what you actually want
- Ready to understand where some of this comes from — not just cope with it
I’m Jennifer Breslow, a licensed psychotherapist and art therapist with over 20 years of experience. I work with adults across New Jersey via secure, HIPAA-compliant online sessions.
What I Help With
Many clients in New Jersey come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something important is missing.
You might relate to:
A Relational, Depth-Oriented Approach
Most of our work together will be conversational. We’ll explore what’s happening in your life, your relationships, and the patterns that keep showing up — and work toward understanding what’s underneath them, not just managing the surface.
When it feels useful, I may also bring in art therapy — using creative expression to access feelings or experiences that are hard to put into words. As a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist℠ (ATR-BC®), this is a tool I can offer when it seems like it might open something up. You don’t need any artistic experience, and it’s always an invitation rather than a requirement.
I also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) — sometimes called “parts work” — and somatic awareness, paying attention to what’s happening in the body alongside what’s being said. Together, these approaches help change feel integrated and lasting, not just intellectually understood.

Fees & Insurance in New Jersey
I am currently out-of-network with insurance plans in New Jersey. Many clients are able to use out-of-network benefits to offset the cost of sessions — your insurance plan may reimburse a portion of the fee depending on your coverage.
I’m happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I’d encourage you to call the member services number on your insurance card and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.
You can find my full fee information on my Fees & Insurance page.
